View Full Version : Help identify old family roundie sweitzel 03-04-2008, 07:09 PM I ran across a picture of myself at a very young age with a clear shot of my grandparent's roundie in the background. I was just wondering if any of you knowledgeable AK'ers could identify it just from the picture. Sadly, the set is LOOONG gone although I wouldn't mind finding another like it some day. The picture was taken probably late 1975. I remember grandma always yelling at me to stay at least 10 feet away from the screen or the radiation would get me! I think there are some similiar models owned by members here, though I'm not sure of the cabinet style. Too bad I never was able to find out what became of it. (Both of my grandparents them have been passed away for some time) I currently own the house they lived in. When I acquired it in 2003, there was only a mid 80's tabletop of unknown make which got tossed as well. Yes, Zenith started to sell rectangular sets in '65 but they continued the roundies for a few years. I can post a picture of it if you wish.
