I saw this one on eBay this morning (not mine; no affiliation)... Since there's been a bit of GE discussion lately, maybe someone will grab it for $5 and save it?

i had an old ge like that back in the great 80s. really good picture. no shunt regulator. when installed, breaker would blow. played 24-7 without.all my tech friends could never figure this one out. lasted for years until crt got too dim and it was parted out. high voltage was controled by brightness adjustment. another strange story from this hobby.

I had one with that same knob layout in the early '90's. Mine had the KD chassis. I wound up junking it because I never got it to work.

Yeah, what's up with the GEs lately? Turning up everywhere. Anyways this one looks like a '70, I don't ever see the GE consoles anymore, hope someone can save it!

I had one very similiar, too. Mine was a table model, though you could have screwed legs on and made it a console. Some of these have a tuning meter, which is neat. I never did get a decent picture out of mine, but with what I know now I bet I could. If this one was within an hour or so I'd grab it.

In fact just emailed the seller to see if we could work something out....

This set has legs, no? I may have to borrow a truck.

The legs should unscrew pretty easily, if that helps.

I had a table set like Bryan and also had a console just like this one in the early 80's. If i found another one i probably would get it as both of mine played well.

Mmmmm, I don't know. I think I'd be a little scared about having that in my house. You never know when it's going to explode and pull all the nails out of the walls...:D
