I was helping a friend empty the house and garage that his grandmother had lived in until she died a couple of months earlier and this was one of the things they were throwing away in a dumpster. I took it home and plugged it in and sure enough it works. Does anybody have an idea what the value of this TV is? I took a few pictures and wrote down the information on the tags that were on the back.

You are to be commended for saving it. A huge cash windfall it isn't, but it's a nice set that clearly would be a breeze to restore. Yes--even though it works it must have certain work done to it in order to operate reliably and ensure major components aren't ruined by the failure of minor components.

Well I certainly wasnt expecting any kind of cash windfall, as my house and yard doesnt quite look like "Sanford and Sons" of television fame but I have a hard time throwing things in the trash, that still work! I live in San Jose, California and if any body would be interested in either buying it or trading something for it I would be more than willing to let you or somebody take it off my hands for me. Just let me know with a reply to this thread. Well, Th Th Th Th Thats all folks! Thanks

I'd be honored to save that set! I've had an interest in Kaye-Halbert sets since I was 10 years old. Where are you located? If in SoCal, I could come get it any evening, most likely. I can't offer a lot for it, but your effort in saving it is worth something to me...

Thanks, Charles
