Last year we had a thread of pictures of sets that watched the ball drop for 2003, so let's do it again in 2004! :)

This year it will be on my Predicta Holiday, with a fresh picture tube and a newly restored chassis by the guy in California who's doing them on ebay. For the $900 total I have in this set purchase price included over the last 7 years, it finally makes a good picture, and had better for that kinda dough :dammit:

I was hoping that I could get one of my color roundies in shape for the event, but alas it doesn't appear that's going to happen. So what about the rest of you? And PICS!!! We're going to need screen shots to welcome in the new year :D

If I remember, and am not too drunk, I'll ring in 2004 on the round Andrea, the 17" Sylvania and 14" RCA at the same time. They are set up in such a way where I can get all three, but might not get them individually (I will be using vidcaps). Alkl three were scored and restored this year. Hopefully, I'll light things right so we can see the cabinets as well as the pictures. Tune in tomorrow.

The 17" Sylvania is on left, RCA on right and the Andrea is the round one. The Sylvania is a CBS only set since I can't find a correct tuning knob:dammit:

Due to the crappy excuse for lighting, the sets may look washed out (especially the Sylvania). Here are some images...

Not quite midnight yet here in California.
Just getting things set up and taking a few practice pictures to make sure it will work.

Here's the Hallicrafters T54

I watched the ball drop on my Curtis Mathes roundie... but dammit... I didn't even think to take a picture! :( Oh well... it was pretty neat anyway!

It was interesting that they commented that the illuminated glass ball dropping started in 1907. I bet that took lots of preparation back in those days!

The speaker isn't installed but that doesn't matter for picture taking purposes :D
