My 58 Philco Miss American crt is getting pretty dark. Does any AK member have this CRT for sale? Second option is having it rebuilt. Thanks -

Thanks - Tubejunke 08-28-2007, 01:32 AM Have you tried a brightener yet? One of these has been on my 1956 Philco for at least 20 years and just lately its taking its time to become viewable in a day lit room... For the benefit of your search and the rest of our info, what crt # do you need??? polaraman 08-28-2007, 09:43 AM SUBS FOR 21CMP4: 21DNP4, 21CBP4, 21CKP4, 21DRP4, 21FLP4 Not a hard tube to find but not that common either. Keep on checking Ebay. polaraman gary k. 08-28-2007, 10:25 AM Poor Miss America has had a brightener on for many years. The CRT is truly on it's last legs. It's pretty dark. Thanks for the subs - I'm going to keep checking on ebay and eventually might just spring for a rebuild! If any AK members have one of these sub CRT's, drop me a note! bgadow 08-28-2007, 11:32 AM I think CBP4 is the most common of those-used in a ton of sets before 110 degree tubes took over. csingle 09-02-2007, 12:47 PM I had trouble finding a 21MP4. Took 3 years to find one, but I finally did, through this AudioKarma forum. Keep after it, and you'll find one! -Chris Tubejunke 09-03-2007, 12:35 AM Please disregard... |
