I saved the pictures and I will print this ad... I will shove it on the faces of all the lazy technicians over here, everytime I show them my 50's TV sets they say "it can't be repaired" .

Of course, what they really mean to say is "I can't repair it!" [Or perhaps in a few cases "can't be bothered to repair it"] ...but pride gets in the way. It's great that there are people out there who will properly preserve these early rarities. That sure is a neat set, truly from another era!

Horn-tooting is welcome, when the set is that nice! And besides, you may get better bids since your reputation on AK will boost confidence.

Did that set come from Washington State originally? I traded one to a collector up there in the 80s.

John,

Another early color set waiting in the wings? Sell the B/W and trade up to an early color set?

That set is really nice!

Charles,
If your set ended up with Sonny, it went through my hands for a few years. I restored it and it's now on the east coast. That set is where the graphics for the "Andrea" decal came from for these sets. I printed them on an Alps printer.

My set came from the estate of Danny Gustafson, not sure where Danny got it from.
