Chuck Pharis needs some help to identify this chassis.

That's not a CT-100 chassis?? Perhaps a CTC2B then with the 21" tube?

Most definately a CTC-2B chassis from a 21CT55. Chuck knows this.

Wow, $500+ and climbing! Sure am glad I already have a spare chassis for my 21CT55.

Wow, $500+ and climbing! GilbertI agree, Gilbert. It may be that the slump in 1954 color prices has bottomed out... we'll see.

Particularly surprising since this doesn't include the CTC-3 convergence chassis, which is impossible to find and impossible to duplicate.

WOW, I feel dumb. I threw 2 of those in the trash about 2 years ago. I don't think the 2B is worth what these bidders are bidding. A CTC-2, MAYBE worth that, since the FBT and the pots are precious. I had saved the 2 CTC-2B's from sets whose cabinets burned up in my fire in '88, and I got tired of hauling those chassis around. I sold some of the parts on eBay, but I didn't even think about the whole chassis... I don't remember what happened to the convergence chassis, but I think I'll look for them!

what's the differnece between a ctc-2 and a ctc-2B??? Can someone explain???:scratch2:

The CTC-2 chassis is for a CT-100. The CTC-2B is for a 21CT55. Both chassis are similar. The main difference is that the 2 is meant to drive a 15" tube and the 2B drives a 21" tube.

hey kx250, what's the differnece between a ctc-2 and a ctc-2B??? Can someone explain???:scratch2:

As Radio63 said, that's correct. The CTC-2 (CT-100 15") has the convergence circuit built into the chassis, and has electrostatic convergence pot. The 2B has the separate convergence chassis, which mounts up above and has 3 or 4 6BX7 tubes.

The CTC-2B also has "R-Y" and "Q" demodulation, not the "I" & "Q" as found in the CTC-2.
